Pesticide Class

A Private Pesticide Applicator Class will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 9:00 am at the Polk County Fairground Building. There is a charge, and this class is open to new and renewing applicators. Call the Polk County Extension Office at 402-7472321 for more information or to pre-register.

Thrift Shop Grand Re-Opening

The Annie Jeffrey Thrift Shop recently held their grand re-opening at their new location. Annie Jeffrey Volunteers held a ribbon cutting at the new Annie Jeffrey Thrift Shop on Wednesday. The thrift shop is down the street from the other shop and has more space available.

Donations Requested

Osceola is hosting three sites for the Shelby-Rising City basketball league. The boys and girls basketball teams, along with the Osceola Youth Sports program will be hosting the concession stand for these games and are asking for donations of bottled pop, Gatorade, water, candy bars, and chips!

Exercise Class

Osceola’s FREE exercise classes will be held on Monday and Wednesday mornings from 9-10 a.m. at the Osceola Civic Center starting Monday, January 15th! The class is for all levels of exercise with an emphasis on moving!

Library News

The City of Osceola will sell miscellaneous surplus library equipment at the Osceola Public Library at 131 N Main St. Cash sale only, “first come, first serve”. Computer monitors, keyboard, rolling carts, wooden shelf, office chair and pictures. Prices range from $2.00 to $15.00.

Osceola Legion Auxiliary

American Legion Auxiliary Unit #91 will meet on Thursday, January 18th, at the Osceola Legion Club at 7:00 pm. Plans will be made to finalize our January 28th soup fundraiser. Pearl Laycock is hostess.

The Osceola Auxiliary Unit #91 will be hosting a Soup Fund raiser on Sunday, January 28 from 11:00 to 1:00 at the Osceola Legion Club. Please join us!
