CLARKS - While many were watching the Huskers beat Houston Christian, Clarks hosted their annual Bean Day.The parade kicked off at 2 PM and featured several local entries. There were other events and plenty of ham and beans.

Today, linemen across the country paused their work to focus on what matters most: safety and going home alive. The Polk County RPPD joined in by taking time with their crew in the field—sharing ice cream, discussing hazards and risks, learning from past experiences, and recommitting to protecting each other. At Polk Co. RPPD, safety is their top priority, and while they believe they do a great job, they say “we can always do better”. Photo provided.

Goosen Delivers in Polk

Sydnee Goosen is the new postal clerk in Polk. She runs the Polk post office Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 1 PM and Saturdays from 11:30 AM to 12:45 PM.Goosen is a graduate of Cross County High School, and a recent graduate of Arizona State University.
