SRC Meeting Notice

MEETING NOTICEShelby-Rising City school board will meet in open and public session on Tuesday, July 7th at 6:00 PM. This special meeting is to adopt the interim superintendent contract. This meeting will be in the BOE room 402 at Shelby-Rising City Public Schools, 650 N Walnut in Shelby.

CVA Awards Scholarships

(York, NE) Central Valley Ag (CVA) is proud to announce the recipients of its 2026 scholarship program, awarding $1,000 each to 20 outstanding students who are pursuing higher education in agriculture-related fields.

Willits Family Reunion

There were 28 attendees at the Willits Family Picnic meeting in Buckley Park at Stromsburg on June 28, 2026. The group gathered on the south side of the park. It was a very warm day with a nice breeze.
Newly crowned Swedish Festival King Steve Dubas and Queen Judy Hanson were honored at a public reception at the Rose Colored Glass in Stromsburg on Thursday, June 25. The 2026 Swedish festival king/queen float will be in the Polk County Fair parade in Osceola on Saturday July 11 starting at 3:00pm at the fairgrounds, traveling uptown around the courthouse and back.
