Help with Memorial Day

Shelby Legion Post 296 is asking for community help with memorial weekend activities.The Legion members will be working at the cemetery: Thursday May 21 at 6:00 p.m. they will be preparing all the holes for the flags for the avenue of flags.Saturday May 23 at 9:00 a.m.

Health care is often thought of as something that happens one patient at a time in a clinic or hospital. Public health takes a broader view and is focused on improving the health of entire populations.

Shelby Library Summer Events

The Summer reading contest starts May 20th and ends Monday, July 13th. Prizes are awarded to everyone who participates and one person in each of three age groups gets a $100 shopping spree.Wednesdays in June will be weekly crafts and story time. The first one is June 3rd from 10-11:30 AM.

 TEN YEARS AGO May 19, 2016Cubby’s purchases Shelby Food Mart and relocates to Highway 92 location. The Shelby Food Mart will move the store to the east side of the current convenience store location along Highway 92.TWENTY YEARS AGO May 18.
