It was a long trip of nearly 600 miles, leaving at 3 a.m. from their homes in Chicago to the country church of St. Mary’s, Pilzno located south of Duncan, Nebraska.
Still, the five men – all natives of Pilzno, Poland – arrived with fresh smiles and an eagerness to learn about the Pilzno heritage of the Midwest.
