Sparrow Publications (the parent company of the Polk County News and Nance County Journal) have started a scholarship. Co-owners Rick Holtz and Beth Sparrow want to encourage students to go into journalism.
The scholarship is a one-time $500 scholarship available to a high school senior interested in journalism or a related field.
