Ricketts Marks Anniversary of Pearl Harbor

LINCOLN — On Tuesday, Governor Pete Ricketts issued the following statement for National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day, which is observed on December 7, 2022.

Immunization Clinics Dec. 14, 19

The Polk County Health Department will hold immunization clinics at the Polk County Health Department in Osceola on Wednesday, December 14th from 1:30 to 3:30 and Monday, December 19th from 3:30 to 5:30. An appointment is required for compliance to the COVID-19 directives.

Polk County was hit with the first true snowfall of the season this week. Tuesday morning started with a freezing rain and sleet. By mid-morning the freezing rain turned over to a blowing snow.

OSCEOLA — For the last six years, St. Paul Lutheran Church in Osceola has been a drop-off location for Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes. These shoeboxes filled with toys, school supplies, clothes and personal hygiene items may be the only gift a child will receive.
