Medical Laboratory Scientist

Multiple positions - Perform medical lab tests, procedures, experiments, and analysis to provide data for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. Maintain competency and proficiency on phlebotomy procedures, including policy and technical/procedural changes. Draw blood from veins, arteries, fingers or heels, and observe the principles of aseptic technique to obtain samples. Conduct analysis of body fluids, to determine presence of normal and abnormal components. Study blood cell morphology, perform blood typing and compatibility tests for transfusion purposes. Analyze test results and enter findings into LIS, perform quality control studies to ensure accuracy, perform routine preventative maintenance on instruments and equipment, verify instrument function by checks, calibration, and documentation, and record any repairs, replacements, and maintenance. 

Minimum Reqs: Bachelor’s degree or equiv. in Medical Technology, Medical Laboratory Science or closely related field. ASCP, AMT, or equiv. certification required.
