Huskies and Cougars Compete in Seward

SEWARD- The temperatures outdoors were mid 70’s to low 80’s but the Cross County Cougars and the Shelby-RC Huskies were indoors at the Concordia Indoor Track and Field Meet on Friday afternoon.

Cougar season ends at State

LINCOLN — A single loss does not define a season. The Cougars saw their season come to an end on Thursday in the opening round of the NSAA Class D-1 State Championships. The No. 7 seed Cross County fell to No. 2 Elm Creek 47-21.“We just didn’t hit shots,” Cross County coach Mitch Boshart said.

GREELEY — The magical season continues.Cross County earned another bite at the apple on Friday, defeating Central Valley 47-44 in the D1-6 District Final, propelling the Cougars back to State for the fourth season in a row.

Jaguars Get The Best of Cougars

HOWELLS — It’s not the end of the road.Cross County earned a wild card and will take on D-1 No. 5 Central Valley in a district final matchup on Friday in Greeley. Central Valley defeated Riverside 63-38 to win the D1-7 Sub-District on Saturday.

BRAINARD - The Husker mens basketball team didn’t have the only close game Tuesday night, but Tiger and Cougar fans did come together at half time for that game. The Cougars led at half, but couldn’t hold on and the Tigers won 59-53.
