CC boys Beat SRC to Reach Semis

YORK – Cross County (142) ended all suspense early in Monday’s CRC boys basketball quarterfinal with S-RC by scoring the game’s first 11 points en route to a 77-47 win over the Huskies.

CCO Wrestling at Madison

MADISON – CCO Twisters competed at the Madison Invite. They placed 12th out of 17 teams with 53 points.106: Karston Dotson-Monroe started with a bye. He lost to Layton Schroeder (West Pt.-Bm) in a 2:42 pin. He won over Baldwin Garcia (Wake) by a 7-2 decision.

Lady Cougars Hand Longhorns Their First Loss

DORCHESTER - Cross County headed to Dorchester where the #1 seed and #2 seed of CRC met for a pre-CRC game. The Cougars won 58-35.  The boys' game was even more lopsided as Dorchester only scored 6 points and 3 of those was a trey in the first quarter. The Cougars won 66-6.

Shooting Struggles Don’t Trump Stellar Defense in 200th Win for Blex

STROMSBURG – The Cross County boys basketball team shoots well under 30 percent from the three-point line and makes only half of its free throws, shooting marks that wouldn’t make you automatically consider them a state-bound Class C-2 team.

High Plains Seniors Place at Own Invite

COLUMBUS – The boys wrestled Friday and Saturday in Columbus at the Fieldhouse at the Norm Mandstedt (High Plains) Invite. High Plains and CCO wrestled.Placings included Hudson Urkoski second, Caleb Sharman fifth and Gage Friesen placed sixth.
