Lady Cougars Hand Longhorns Their First Loss

DORCHESTER - Cross County headed to Dorchester where the #1 seed and #2 seed of CRC met for a pre-CRC game. The Cougars won 58-35.  The boys' game was even more lopsided as Dorchester only scored 6 points and 3 of those was a trey in the first quarter. The Cougars won 66-6.

Shooting Struggles Don’t Trump Stellar Defense in 200th Win for Blex

STROMSBURG – The Cross County boys basketball team shoots well under 30 percent from the three-point line and makes only half of its free throws, shooting marks that wouldn’t make you automatically consider them a state-bound Class C-2 team.

High Plains Seniors Place at Own Invite

COLUMBUS – The boys wrestled Friday and Saturday in Columbus at the Fieldhouse at the Norm Mandstedt (High Plains) Invite. High Plains and CCO wrestled.Placings included Hudson Urkoski second, Caleb Sharman fifth and Gage Friesen placed sixth.

Lady Cougars Keep Rolling, Thanks to Kelley’s High Game

STROMSBURG – Lindee Kelley had made just one three-point shot prior to Thursday’s game against visiting Sutton, but she cranked up a shot from the top of the key for her first basket and it got even better from there.

Cougars Defeat Bulldogs in County Clash

OSCEOLA – The Cougars took an early lead and defeated the Bulldogs on their home court, 66-34.In the first quarter, Cross County got the lead first after baskets from Thatcher Hanson and BrockAllen.

Lady Cougars Win Over Lady Dawgs in County Rivalry

OSCEOLA – The Bulldogs got the first point, but the Cougars soon passed them up and won 54-28.Addison Theis put the first shot up, but the Cougars caught up. Emersyn Prososki added a basket for the Bulldogs, and it was 8-4 at timeout.

LADY COUGARS WIN 3RD CONSECUTIVE RUNZA HOLIDAY CHAMPIONSHIP

CENTRAL CITY- In a rematch of December 21st at Cross County, the girls took on Central City to try to avenge their only loss. Avenge it they did, and won their 3rd consecutive Runza Holiday tournament championship with a score of 31-29.
