On Saturday, Judi Luettel, Colton and Conner Luettel, Shylo Buresh and Eric Sayer attended the Nebraska State Fair in Grand Island. Colton, Conner and Eric were among the participants in the lawn mower races. Conner placed first in the modified class, Colton placed second in the super modified and Eric placed third in the super modified class.

On Friday, Marilyn Dey met John and Carolleen Junge in York for brunch. Marilyn spent the afternoon with her brother John recording history for the family history book.

THIRTY YEARS AGO September 17, 1992

Michelle Foley and Andrew Jenks, both students at the Gresham Attendance Center, showed some of the educational items used for learning in the kindergarten classroom. Students were able to show their parents and other visitors the school facilities at an open house held Tuesday, September 8th.

Philip Romohr, a sixth grade student at the Gresham Attendance Center brought home second place honors in the social studies division competition at the Nebraska State Fair. Philip is the son of Monte and Carolyn Romohr of Gresham.

Karla and Don Wait, Ashley and Lindsey attended the Yorkfest rodeo on Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. Bob Gonnerman and family and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Snyder were supper guests of Mrs. Clara Brandt in York Sunday evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Schultz were hosts at a 6:30 dinner Tuesday evening honoring Mrs. Jim Kee and sons of Humbolt, Tennessee. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Nordmeyer and family of Lincoln, Mr. and Mrs. John Schultz and family and Mrs. Lillian Tobey.
