Governor Pillen Calls Upon PSC to Focus on Rail Safety

LINCOLN, NE – Governor Jim Pillen reacted to media reports that the Nebraska Public Service Commission has failed to employ a railroad track safety inspector for two decades. He is calling on the agency to refocus efforts to protect public safety.

Area Athletes Compete in NAIA Championships

BROOKINGS, S.D.— Area residents participated in the 2023 NAIA Indoor Track & Field Championship at Sanford Jackrabbit Athletic Complex on the campus of South Dakota State University. The event was Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Josi Noble of Stromsburg was the second leg of Women’s Distance Medley.

Fun For Young and Old at the Gresham Library

On Saturday, March 4th the Gresham Library held their monthly Story Hour. This month’s theme was rainbows. Activities included rainbows in a jar science and rainbow blow-painting. The Gresham Library hosted Bingo on Sunday, March 5th.

Children’s Immunization Clinics

The Polk County Health Department will hold immunization clinics at the Polk County Health Department, Osceola, NE, on Monday, February 27, 2023, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. An appointment is required for compliance to the COVID-19 directives.
