The Storm Ruins the Tigers’ Homecoming

PALMER – The Storm travelled to Palmer on Friday. The Tigers got the ball first but couldn’t convert, so it went to the Storm. The Storm marched down the field with runs from Wyatt Urkoski, Gage Friesen and Haden Helgoth. It was Helgoth who took it in for the touchdown. The points after failed.

High Plains Gets Win Over McCool

POLK – High Plains hosted McCool Junction in a conference volleyball battle Tuesday evening. The Mustangs got on the board first with eight straight points. Then the Storm answered with a few. The first set continued in this manner, with the Mustangs coming out ahead 25-20.

The Storm Wins Homecoming Game Against Giltner

CLARKS – The Storm would come away with a big win on homecoming night. They played well, but Giltner also contributed with about five false starts during the game. The Hornets scored first getting down the field with steady runs. Their two-point conversion was good for an 8-0 early lead.

High Plains Adds One Win

After having a good start to their season, High Plains faced some tough competition. First was Riverside last Tuesday, which they lost in two sets, 25-16 and 25-18. No other information was available for that game. Second was Palmer, whom they beat in three sets: 14-25, 25-22 and 2519.

COURTNEY CARLSTROM Courtney led Storm volleyball in kills to help her team win the Heartland Lutheran tournament over the weekend. IZAAC DICKEY Izaac had two touchdowns and led the Cougars in rushing yards with 124 and was second in tackles with ten.

Lady Storm Goes 3-1 Over Weekend

Thursday the Storm went to Central City to face Nebraska Christian. Then Saturday they had a long day of volleyball at the Heartland Lutheran tournament. The Storm faced a tough Number 10 rated Nebraska Christian team. They lost in three sets, 25-15, 25-13 and 25-12.

Lady Storm Gets Second Win

POLK - The East Butler Tigers came to Polk for a conference matchup last Thursday. The Lady Storm took the game in three sets: 25-14. 25-22 and 25-14. Rylee Ackerson had 10 kills, Courtney Carlstrom added seven and Addison Lindburg had six.

High Plains Ends up Short Against the Eagles

CLARKS - After parents’ night introductions, the Storm got the ball to start their first football game. BDS got an interception early in the game but were unable to capitalize due to the Storm’s defense stopping their play.
