STORM’S THIRD QUARTER COLLAPSE SPARKS SHELTON TO 65-33 WIN

POLK- The High Plains girls basketball team was hoping to close out the pre-Christmas half of their basketball season on a winning note, but the Shelton Bulldogs had other ideas.

Storm Boys Roll Over Shelton

POLK-After starting the season 1-4, the High Plains Storm boys basketball team has won three in a row, including last Tuesday night’s 66-41 final over the Shelton Bulldogs just before the Christmas break.

Storm Boys Have Solid Week -Improve to 3-4 with 2-0 Week

POLK - The Storm held on for a win at home, beating the Nebraska Christian Eagles 53-43.The first quarter the Storm took a slight lead, 10-9 before each team adding 13 in the second quarter for a half time score of 23-22.

Storm Girls Have Rough Week Going 0-2

POLK - Sheridan Falk and the Nebraska Christian Eagles were too much for the Lady Storm. The Eagles won 44-28 with Falk putting in 18 points.The Eagles started out with an early lead, 16-4 after one quarter. The second quarter was much more even, giving a 24-11 half time score.

Storm Girls Capture Two Medals at Crete Invite

CRETE- The High Plains Storm girls wrestling team joined a field of 17 teams on Saturday at the Crete Invite.Lexington came away with the team championship rolling up 228.5 points to second place Beatrice with 173 and third place Ralston who totaled 138.

High Plains Rolls Over Dorchester, Loses to McCool Junction and Mead.

POLK- After getting their first win of the season on Tuesday night at Dorchester 63-30, the Storm were back home on Thursday night to host the Cool Junction Mustangs in CRC action.

Win at Mead Has Storm girls back over. 500

POLK-The High Plains Storm girls basketball team had a busy week with three games, two of those on the road.On Tuesday night the Storm traveled to Dorchester where they suffered their first loss of the year to the Longhorns, 38-35.

Storm Girls Basketball Tops Heartland Lutheran and Fullerton

POLK - The Lady Storm started their season in the opposite direction, gaining two wins. They won over GI Lutheran 4332 and over Fullerton 36-16.Thursday the seniors were the scorers with Gahvi Lesiak having an excellent third quarter.
