Gerry and Pam George received the Heritage Farm Award for 150 years of land ownership by the same family on Friday evening at the York County Fair. Gerry and Pam are the fifth generation of the Liedtke family to own this quarter of ground located five miles west and one mile north of Gresham. Family members in attendance were Nic and Brenda Smith, Sawyer and Collin of Murdock, Layne and Betsy Perkins, Braylon and Brantley of Hickman, Rex and Bonnie Liedtke of Gresham, Bryce and Erin Abbey and family of Kearney, and Dan and Megan Tesar and boys of Lincoln.
On Friday evening, Dean and Cindy Avery attended the York County Fair where they watched Gerry and Pam George receive the Heritage Farm award.
On Saturday evening Judi Luettel and Tina Bredwell enjoyed dining out for their July birthdays in York. Following they joined others for the Old Metz Mortuary Ghost Tour.
Randy and Susie Tonniges spent some time at the York County Fair watching their grandchildren Cheyenne Tonniges and Gradyn Tonniges showing calves.
Weekend guests of Pat Chapman was her daughter Carla Schumacher of Lindsey.
Thursday callers of Shirley Richter were her great-grandchildren of Gresham.
The final preaching in the park for the summer will be held on Sunday, August 14, 2022 led by Pastor John Nellessen of the Gresham Prebyterian Church.
On Saturday evening Gerry and Pam George along with Layne and Betsy Perkins, Braylon and Brantley of Hickman enjoyed the figure 8 races at the York County Fair.

Gerry and Pam George and Jan George attended the funeral of Genieve Johnson in York on Friday morning. Genieve is Jan’s sister-in-law.
Dan Otto and Cindy Schulte were in Des Moines, Iowa over the weekend to visit Dan’s mom.
On Sunday, Bob and Adelle Tonniges were visitors of Matt and Kayla Sheehan, Owen and Gavin of Papillion. Robin Moore of Lincoln also joined them.
