Gresham Man Sentenced

Body

Hrolfr Rognirhur, age 38, of Gresham has been sentenced in a case that began with five felony counts of possession of a deadly weapon while being a prohibited person. He was sentenced in York County Court last week. He was driving a vehicle without a visible front license plate, so a deputy followed him. The deputy observed him going 74 mph and also did not have a visible rear license plate. Rognirhar was pulled over. The suspect was leaning forward, his shirt moved and the deputy spied a knife in a sheath on his right hip.

The deputy verified his status as a convicted felon when he returned to his police cruiser. He asked the suspect about the knives in the vehicle. The suspect admitted to a sword, which the deputy found and it had a 27-inch blade. He also found a tomahawk with 4 1/4-inch blade in the bed of the pickup.

Since Rognirhar is a convicted felon, he is prohibited from possessing these items. He took a plea agreement which reduced his counts to one count of possession of a deadly weapon. His sentence is three years traditional probation. He also carries a Columbus residence.
