The Gresham American Legion Auxiliary honored Shirley Richter recently for 60 years of continuous membership. Also recognized was Carla Schumacher for 35 years of membership. The Auxiliary hosted a Birthday dinner for the American Legion members and the Sons of the Legion at the Dey Warehouse. Following the dinner a candlelight program was held on the four great principles of the Legion, Auxiliary and Sons of the Legion: Justice, Freedom, Democracy and Loyalty.
The group was reminded that the Poppy Day activities will be held over Memorial Day weekend.
