Osceola’s new water tower has been functioning now for almost a year. Now it’s time for the old standpipe one to come down. It’s an iconic piece of Osceola history, having been partially completed in 1903 and operational in 1905. It served the city well beyond its life span, over 115 years.
In 1903 it was 110 feet high, 14 inches in diameter and held approximately 127,720 gallons of work. Mr. Waggo…
