Recent transition at the Polk County News helm inspired thoughts of the past, further fueled by last week’s reference to Mike McCoy within “the Record Files.”

I recall my having met Bill and Jan Thompson of Stromsburg, then publishers of the Polk County News and maintaining an office in Osceola.
