Clearing incoming voice messages from our (good ol’ land line’s) answering machine, I am reminded that while cell phones are greatly appreciated for their convenience and for affording a continual sense of safety, those good ol’ land lines ALSO afford convenience, without “tethering” anyone to the devices.
