Calvary Lutheran Church Kicks Off 150-Year Celebration

    Calvary Lutheran Church at Swede Home kicked off their 150th celebration with a concert by Nebraska Brass and a reception following with Dana Westring. Pastor Evan Christensen welcomed everyone.

    Nebraska Brass is a brass quintet out of Lincoln which was formed in 1987. The only original member is Dean Heist, the high trumpet player who taught at Nebraska Wesleyan for 31 years. Playing second trumpe…
