    The Shelby Quilt of Valor group spends many Saturdays making quilts for veterans and active-duty military. During COVID, they couldn’t award quilts, but they got ahead making them. The Shelby group is the only quilt of valor group in the county. As part of the BRAN application, it asks if you are a veteran or have served. Five BRAN participants were military veterans.
