    Two local churches celebrate 150 years this year. Stromsburg Baptist Church is the merged Eden Baptist Church (English speaking) and First Baptist Church (Swedish speaking). The First Baptist Church started on July 12, 1873 when a group of early settlers came together at the home of Mattias and Margaret Samuelson to form a Baptist Church with fourteen charter members.
