Fuller Wins Week 7

The winner of week seven’s football contest is Kent Fuller who only missed three.Coming in second also missing three was Donna Krumbach, but Fuller was closer to the tie breaker. Two only missed four which was Andy Vrbka and Nyal Rowse.There were 38 entries again this week.

HEALTH FAIR WAS SUCCESSFUL

OSCEOLA - The 21st Annual Annie Jeffrey Memorial County Health Center Fall Health Fair was held on Tuesday, October 7th at the Annie Jeffrey Memorial County Health Center.

Daycare Update

There are two more daycares on the horizon. A rumor is circulating about one closing, but we confirmed all current daycare providers are still in business.Just in October 2nd’s newspaper, there was someone requesting a zoning change so she could have daycare in her home.

MUSICIAN JOCELYN TO PERFORM IN OSCEOLA

OSCEOLA- Saturday, October 18th Calvary Lutheran Swede Home church is hosting a musical event at Gathering Grounds in Osceola. Jocelyn Olivia will be coming to perform from noon to 2 PM. Steve and his staff will have their coffee and specialty drinks available.

Sheriff Inducted into Hall of Fame

KEARNEY- Two sheriffs were inducted into the Nebraska Sheriff’s Hall of Fame last Tuesday, our own Dwaine Ladwig and Neil Miller of Kearney.Sheriff Ladwig’s career in law enforcement spans nearly fifty years of dedicated service.

Hot Pursuit Through 3 Counties Led to Two Arrests

On Thursday night, October 2nd around 10:30 PM, a York County deputy initiated a traffic stop near the Waco interchange for a traffic violation. The vehicle that committed the traffic violation failed to pull over and a pursuit was initiated.

Flood Visits Weather Service & Speaks Out on Shutdown

Flood visited the National Weather Service in Omaha on Friday and heard firsthand how the Democrat Shutdown is impacting this local office.Right now, they aren’t getting paid.Democrats need to vote to reopen the government and to pay the people helping to keep America safe.
