Gov. Pillen’s Historic Income Tax Cuts Effective in January

LINCOLN, NE – Governor Jim Pillen, a champion for lower taxes, is highlighting the historic income tax cuts set to take effect in January as part of his Administration’s ongoing commitment to reform Nebraska’s tax system. The 2026 income tax rate will fall from 5.2% to 4.

Lincoln, NE — A confirmed measles case in Platte County has been reported to the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services. The patient is an unvaccinated child with an out-of-state travel history in Arizona. Due to privacy, no further individual information will be provided.

CHADRON, Neb. (December 18, 2025) – Chadron State College has announced the names of students who qualified for the President’s List for the Fall 2025 semester.

Locals Graduate from UNL

LINCOLN -- The University of Nebraska-Lincoln conferred 1,197 degrees during commencement exercises Dec. 19 and 20 at Pinnacle Bank Arena.The 1,175 graduates are from 44 countries, 39 U.S. states and 140-plus Nebraska communities.Chancellor Rodney D. Bennett presided over the ceremonies.

Doane Fall Dean’s List

CRETE - A total of 372 Doane University students made the university’s Fall 2025 Dean’s List. To make the Dean’s List, undergraduate students enrolled on the university’s Crete campus must earn a grade point average of 3.70 or higher in at least 12 graded credits during the semester.
