Two Vehicle Accidents in Polk County Aug. 15-16

The weekend of August 15th and 16th had two vehicle accidents in Polk County.Friday (August 15th) about 11:50 AM a two-vehicle injury accident was reported near the Highway 81 and 124th Road intersection south of Stromsburg.

GRAND ISLAND - The Nebraska State Fair started Friday and 4-H day was held over the weekend.Many of our 4-H students and others have entries at state fair. Here are some results on the static entries and a few competitive entries that have been completed. P = purple, B = blue, R = red, W = white.

Get Ready to Bargain Shop

This weekend is Bargains for You on 92. This is their fifth year of offering it. It started because of the success of Junk Jaunt in central Nebraska. Junk Jaunt is the end of September (26th to 28th). Bargains for You is also three days long (Thursday the 28th to Saturday the 30th).

LOCAL HEROES KEEP BLOOD DRIVE ON TRACK

STROMSBURG - The Polk County Rural Public Power District (RPPD) had a blood drive scheduled for Monday, August 18th. However it almost didn’t happen after the bus was in an accident.
