LINCOLN – Polk County has received a $11,292 dividend check through its participation in the Nebraska Intergovernmental Risk Management Association (NIRMA) pooling program.

SHELBY EUB CHURCH BUILDING DEMOLISHED

The Shelby EUB Church, officially named as the Castle Memorial Evangelical United Brethren Church, was demolished on Thursday.The village of Shelby decided to demolish the building as it was in very bad shape and deemed a hazard.

STROMSBURG - On Wednesday, Mike Lucas with the superintendent search firm was at Cross County to talk to teachers and staff, community members and the school board about what qualities they were looking for in a new superintendent.A meeting was held for parents and community members at 5 PM.
