2025 FESTIVAL KING & QUEEN CROWNED

Osceola Man Dies in Two Vehicle Accident

STROMSBURG - An Osceola man died as the result of a car accident in Polk County near Stromsburg. A two vehicle accident occurred at about 4:55 PM at County Road N and 125 Boulevard, which is an unmarked intersection.

Honoring Past Attendants

Recognition was given to the Swedish Festival PastAttendants. Friday afternoon at the Legion, past attendants gathered to reminisce and celebrate 63 years of festival attendants. Initiating the open house were Rod and June Hengelfelt, the first attendants, originally called ‘crown bearers.

WALLER NAMED SUPER SWEDE & ANDERSON HONORARY SWEDE

STROMSBURG - This year’s Honorary Swede (Joel Anderson) moved with his family to Stromsburg in 1966 when he was just 2 years old. He began fitting in with the neighborhood and community from the get-go and entered school in Stromsburg in 1971.

Senior Center
