STROMSBURG - Monday evening was the fashion show and quilt show at Midwest Covenant Home. Everyone did very well and it seemed rare that there were more boys in the fashion show than girls this year.

Tomasevicz to be inducted into U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Hall of Fame

Curt Tomasevicz has a pair of Olympic medals, including gold which he won in 2010 on the famed “Night Train” bobsled team. Tomasevicz’s career is about to add another prestigious honor.The Shelby, Nebraska native will be inducted into the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Hall of Fame on Saturday.

Loya Faces Assault, Child Abuse Charges

OSCEOLA - Agustin A. Loya (age 33 of Osceola) has been arrested on one charge of assaulting a pregnant woman and three charges of child abuse-negligently (no injury).Officer McCracken was called to investigate an alleged domestic assault on June 15, 2025.
