Theodore Emmett Holtz was born at 2:40 p.m. on January 28, 2025. He is the son of Rick and Kimberly Holtz. He weighed 8 pounds, 1 ounce and was 21 inches long. Teddy is joined at home by Calvin, 14, Penny, 10, Charlie 7, and Timmy 3. Paternal grandparents are Ric and Judie Holtz of Crown Point, Ind.

HPC HALL OF FAME INDUCTED THREE INDIVIDUALS AND ONE TEAM

POLK - Friday night in between the girls’ and boys’ basketball games against East Butler, High Plains inducted three more individuals and one team into their Hall of Fame. They included Max Kroger of Polk, the late Jerry Pollard of Clarks, and Dr. C. Richard Johnson of Hordville.

Is spelling as valued as it was now that we have computers and spell check? Maybe, maybe not.Each year the county holds the annual spelling bee in Osceola at the new gym. All four schools sent 5th through 8th graders to the event.
