January: Nat’l Radon Month

January is National Radon Action Month, a time to take action to make sure your home is safe from radon. You can’t see or smell radon gas. It naturally forms when uranium in soil and rocks breaks down and can enter homes through cracks in the foundation, as well as around windows, pipes, and joints.

Osceola Legion Auxiliary

American Legion Auxiliary Unit #91 will meet on Thursday, January 16th, at the Osceola Legion Club at 7:00 pm.Plans will be made to finalize our February 2nd soup fundraiser.Pearl Laycock is hostess.

Pedicure Clinics

Pedicure Clinics will be held at the Polk County Health Department the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month. Please call the health department to make an appointment.

Blood Pressure Clinics

Clinics to monitor blood pressure will also be held each Tuesday of the month. They will be held at the Senior Center and rotate between each town in Polk County.

OCAG

The Osceola Community Action Group will hold their first meeting of 2025 on Thursday, January 23rd at the Osceola Civic Center at 12:30 p.m. Membership in this organization to open to individuals and families, as well as local businesses.
