Pedicure Clinics will be held at the Polk County Health Department the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month. Please call the health department to make an appointment.

The Shelby-RC Huskies hosted a two-day camp last Wednesday and Thursday for football players and wrestlers K-8th grade at SRC High School. Both coach Tanner Kuhn (wrestling) and Zach Kubik (football) as well as several current football players and wrestlers were on hand. PCN photos by Ken Kush.

“Dementia and Home Safety: Tips for Caregivers”

Caregivers of people with dementia are often tasked with keeping their loved ones safe at home. Unpaid family members or friends, referred to as care partners or caregivers, dedicate significant time and resources to assist the person with dementia as their needs intensify.

The Nebraska Association of County Officials was organized in 1894. It is composed of 93 member counties and its express objective is to stimulate and contribute to the continuing improvement of county government in Nebraska through the promotion of increased efficiency and economy, the augmentation of a higher standard of public service, and the protection of the common good and general welfare of Nebraska county residents.
