Shelby Trunk or Treat

The Shelby Trunk or Treat will be on Saturday, October 28th on Walnut Street. People can set up their trunks from 2-2:45 PM and trick or treating will be begin at 3 PM. It will continue until 5 PM or until treats are gone. Please contact the library to sign up at 402-527-5181 and to get rules.

Bob McLaughlin Benefit

Bob McLaughlin recently went through a spinal surgery due to a narrowing of the spinal column. He is currently recovering and out of work for the foreseeable future. All money raised will go to Bob for his medical expenses, daily living costs and any other needs during his recovery.

The first real surprise from the Mickey mansion pantry was a framed daguerrotype. This early photographic process has gained a following of interested collectors. The pictures have a silvery cast to them and because of their era, the subject matter is historical.

State park areas are wonderful places to celebrate Halloween in Nebraska with many hosting family- friendly activities on weekends in October. Plan your opportunity for fun at several park locations. Remember: A park entry permit is required of each vehicle entering a state park area.

Blood Pressure Clinics

Clinics to monitor blood pressure will also be held each Tuesday or the month. They will be held at the Senior Center and rotate between each town in Polk County.
