The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission is looking to provide additional hunting and fishing opportunities on private lands through its Open Fields and Waters Program.Landowners willing to allow public walk-in access for hunting or fishing can receive annual, per-acre payments through the program.

THE PRAIRIE DOCMany equate pain with injury and thus assume that pain should be a straight line when recovering. So, if pain flares up a bit, they worry that something is wrong. Maybe the injury is getting worse, or they “overdid it” the day before.
The Osceola Class of 1961 celebrated their 65th reunion Friday, May 22nd at Ryan Hill Country Club. Those present were back row-Larry Wieseman, John Cederberg, Anne (Hauberg) Miller Montag, JoAnn (Gabriel) Martens, and Leila (Miley) Rein; front row-Barbara (Oberg) Cotter, Dottie (Watts) Vrbka, Betty Lou (Burritt) Conkling, Carolyn (Swanson) Scheer, and Donna (Mentink) Yungdahl. During the four days after Memorial Day, 24 Osceola third, fourth and fifth graders met for Young Patriots Week. The program is sponsored by the Osceola American Legion, and was led by Deborah Anderson, Diana Langer, Linda Anderson and Deb Pliefke.
