El Centenario opened on Saturday (September 2nd). This is their second location with the first one in David City for seven years. The menu will be the same. The manager wanted everyone to know it’s a family dining restaurant (not a bar). They do have a kids’ menu. They also have margaritas.

The Stromsburg Awana Club begins their 43rd year on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 from 6:30 – 8:10 p.m. at the Stromsburg Evangelical Free Church. Boys and girls from Kindergarten through sixth grade are invited to participate. Older students who have been through AWANA are welcome as helpers.
Cody and Jaimee Ortegren formed Ortegren Auto Repair in March. Cody has been working on cars since he was a teenager. He graduated from Southeast Community College and worked there for several years before returning to Stromsburg. He worked at a local shop here for seven years before deciding to go out on his own. Noyd Reunion Met Sunday

At least 84 descendants of Lee and Alice Noyd met at the Viking Center on Sunday September 3rd to celebrate 150 years of the Noyds in Stromsburg. Extra friends brought the total to 89. Lots of conversation, good food and family pictures were part of the afternoon.

The class is for all levels of exercise with an emphasis on moving! If you have hand weights, resistance bands and a small exercise ball bring them with you.
