Bacon Votes to Rescind IRS Agents

WASHINGTON, DC — Rep. Don Bacon (NE-02) Monday voted for H.R. 23, the Family and Small Business Taxpayer Protection Act, which would rescind certain allocations made available to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), including funding for the 87,000 IRS agents hired by the Biden Administration.

SRC Speech Team Competes at Fairbury Invite

FAIRBURY — The Shelby- Rising City Speech competed at the Fairbury Invite on Saturday. SRC speech coach Emily Blackburn said they were pleased with the team’s results. “It gives us a good platform to begin the season and to work on improving our performances,” she said.

Agency Accepting CRP Offers to Restore Playa Wetlands

LINCOLN — The U.S. Department ofAgriculture’s (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA) is accepting Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) offers to participate in the Kansas Nebraska Oklahoma Migratory Birds, Butterflies, and Pollinators State Acres for Wildlife Enhancement (SAFE) project.
