Shelby Senior Center Contest

Starting Monday October 3rd, a photo will be posted somewhere in Shelby. The first person who correctly identifies the photo will win a free meal at the Senior Center. The photo will be posted on Facebook and the first correct comment will win.

Quilt of Valor Work Day

Stars, Stripes, and Stitches QoV group will be working at the Shelby Legion Post 296 Club from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, October 1, 2022. Please join us for all or part of the day. *Note: We are meeting the first Saturday, not our usual second Saturday, due to scheduling conflicts.

Christmas Sales Opportunity

Attention crafters, direct sales people and antique dealers: Saturday, December 3rd will be a sales opportunity at the American Legion in Shelby from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost is $30 for your 8 x 8 space including two chairs. Bring your own table! Additional fee for table rental.

Blood Pressure Clinics

Clinics to monitor blood pressure will also be held at the Polk County Health Department in Osceola, every 1st and 3rd Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. No appointment is necessary. Walk-ins are welcome any day during office hours.

Immunization Clinics Oct. 12,17

The Polk County Health Department will hold immunization clinics at the Polk County Health Department in Osceola on Wednesday October 12th, 2022 from 1:30 to 3:30 and Monday, October 17th from 3:30 to 5:30. An appointment is required for compliance to the COVID-19 directives.
