Christmas Sales Opportunity

Attention crafters, direct sales people and antique dealers: Saturday, December 3rd will be a sales opportunity at the American Legion in Shelby from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost is $30 for your 8 x 8 space including two chairs. Bring your own table! Additional fee for table rental.

The FFA Officer team was busy visiting every elementary classroom this past week to teach about Farm Safety. The students learned about 5 areas of safety: Animal, Tractor & Large Equipment, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Grain, and ATV / UTV Safety. By Lee Braasch September brings on October’s bright blue weather. An old saying one does not hear anymore. Schools are in full swing for the year of 2022-2023, and all the Cross County sports are doing great. Congratulations on all your wins!

Library News

If you have not done so already, please fill out a survey for the library. We are gathering information from those in our service area on the possibility of finishing the basement under the main library. Currently this area is 2900 square feet of space of which a small portion is used for storage.

By Bob Greenwall many forms, the outdoors beckon folks of all kinds to enjoy that special time of the year. Our boys would bicycle down to the streets south of the town square days in advance to see whether trucks bringing the Swedish Festival carnival rides had arrived.
