It is always a fun time having conversation with residents on the patio in the mornings. We learn so much about each other from our pasts, sharing our dreams and “what ifs” or just enjoying God’s beauty in nature. We are grateful for the cool of the mornings that we can get outside for a bit.

Vern and Mary Jane Samuels of Polk are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with an Open House at the Polk Senior Center on Saturday, Aug. 20 from 2-4 p.m. Family and friends are invited to attend. The reception is hosted by their children, Lisa (Bedient) and Josh Huckaby of Bishop, Calif.

Blood Pressure Clinics

Clinics to monitor blood pressure will also be held at the Polk County Health Department in Osceola, every 1st and 3rd Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. No appointment is necessary. Walk-ins are welcome any day during office hours.
