2026 Candidates Can Begin Filing

Monday was opening day, no, not for hunting season, for election filings. It was the first day a candidate could file to put his/her name on the ballot for the 2026 election.What elections will we be voting on? The Nebraska secretary of state website lists the state offices that are up for election.

Lincoln, NE — Four confirmed measles cases in Platte County have been reported to the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, all of which are limited to a single household, with two cases currently active. Thus far, no community spread has been identified.
