Area Softball Returns Strong Field of Talent

Top left- The Blue River Panthers, a team co-op of David City, Shelby-RC and East Butler finished the year with a record of 1713 last year. They will open the season with a home triangular on Thursday, August 21 in David City. Top right- The Polk County Slammers, (Cross County, Osceola and High Plains) completed the season with a record of 17-14 in 2024. They will host HWY 91 on the 21st at Cross County High School. STROMSBURG- The Polk County Slammers ended the 2024 season with a record of 17-14 and the Blue River Panthers which includes players from Shelby-Rising City along with David City and East Butler capped their season with a mark of 17-13.
Both teams return several players from last years roster who will be impact players as the 2025 season gets ready to get underway on Thursday, August 21.
