Last high school football season the High Plains Storm and the Shelby- RC Huskies both made the state football playoffs in their respective classes.
The Huskies who were one of the top teams in D1 for a large portion of the season defeated McCool Junction and Arapahoe, before losing to eventual D1 State Champion Sandy Creek in the third round.
