The Village of Polk is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as Maintenance Superintendent for the Village of Polk. Full-time position, Monday through Friday (8-5).
Job Description: Oversee the day-to-day operations for all maintenance areas of the village: electrical, water, sewer, lawn, buildings, vehicles, and streets. Oversee the maintenance full-time, part-time, and seasonal staff. Report directly to the Village Board.
Benefits: Two weeks vacation, sick time, comp time for overtime worked, and insurance reimbursement (up to $750 month). Retirement package offered. Starting salary is based heavily upon qualifications and experience. $25 -$35 hourly/paid bi-weekly.
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Driver’s License
• Clean Driving Record
• Strong decision making and multi-tasking skills
• Ability to lead maintenance crew
• Good people skills to communicate with crew, contractors, and residents
• Willingness/Ability to obtain licensing required by state
• Live in close proximity to the village or willingness to relocate
Qualifications/Skills to help qualify for higher pay range:
• CDL
• Class IV Water License
• Pesticide Licenses
• Experience in electrical, water, sewer, construction, street, and/or lawn maintenance
• Management experience
