Stephen Christie, 64 years, of Gresham, passed away on December 1, 2021 in Grand Island.

On Sunday evening Bob and Adelle Tonniges, Cindy Schulte and Dan Otto attended a Sunday School church Christmas program in Central City to watch Kylie, Kalyn and Kyndall Talbott.

Johnnie Coon, 62 years of Gresham, passed away on Friday, December 3, 2021. Johnnie’s wife is Polly and he has been a resident of Gresham for many years.

Among those attending the funeral of Johnnie Coon at the Presbyterian Church in Gresham on Saturday morning were Dean and Cindy Avery.

A Life Line Screening was held at the Community Center in Gresham on Thursday, December 9, 2021.

The Gresham Fire and Rescue Department held their annual recognition banquet on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Dey’s Warehouse. Among those attending were Tom and Tina Bredwell, Gerry and Pam George, Dave and Diane Dey and Tom and Judi Luettel.

Bob and Adelle hosted their family Christmas on Saturday at their home in Gresham.

The community was saddened to hear of the loss of former long time Gresham resident, Jane Wilcox, age 79, a 1960 graduate of Gresham High School. Jane and her husband opened the original Big Horn Restaurant in Gresham. She is survived by her children Mike Wilcox and Kathy Wilcox.

On Tuesday evening Cindy Schulte attended the 5h - 12th grade Centennial Christmas Program in Utica. Her grandchildren Saige and Paityn Scheele were among the students.

Enjoying lunch in York on Thursday were Nancy Paysen, Pat Chapman and Shirley Richter.

On Sunday morning Gerry and Pam George, along with Layne and Betsey Perkins and boys, attended the Christmas Cantata at Sheridan Lutheran Church in Lincoln. That evening they were guests of the Perkins at their home in Hickman where they all celebrated Braylon’s 11th birthday. Joining them were Nic and Brenda Smith and boys of Murdock.

On Tuesday evening Judi Luettel enjoyed watching grandchildren Josie and Dax Luettel at their home in Gresham.

Rozella Sackschewsky, former Thayer area resident, passed away on Monday, December 6, 2021.

Shirley Richter attended the funeral of Rozella Sackschewsky on Friday morning, December 10 at Zion Church at Wessels Living History Farm in York.
