“God’s ‘Forgetfulness’ ”
My late mother-in-law (who lived past the age of 107) used to say that the older she got, the more she would think about the “hereafter.” She explained that she often would go into another room to get something, only to forget what she had gone there for. She would then exclaim, “What am I here after?”
I don’t think one has to live a century to experience moments of forgetfu...
