Booster Club Steak Fry set for Saturday
SHELBY — The Shelby-Rising City Booster Club Steak Fry is Saturday, Aug. 6 from 6-10 p.m. at the Shelby Legion Club.
Couple tickets are $65 at the door. Individual tickets are $45 at the door. Tickets get you a steak dinner and membership to booster club. Family memberships are also for sale for $50.
Advance tickets are for sale at the Pinnacle Bank in Shelby, Cornerstone Bank in Rising City and from the SRC 8th grade class parents.
There will be a silent auction at the event and a live auction begins at 8 p.m. The club is still accepting items for the auctions. If you are interested in donated an item, contact Korie Whitmore at 402-366-3344, Kelsey Vrbka at 402-641-0561 or email srcboosterclub@gmail.com.

Legion Fundraiser at Farmers Market
SHELBY — The Farmers Market returns Wednesday in Shelby.
The Shelby American Legion Post 296 will be having a fundraiser where they will be serving sandwiches from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the air conditioned Legion Club.
Come out and thank the local veterans for serving our country and enjoy a sandwich.
Shelby Parents, Check Your Emails
SHELBY — Parents of students involved in activities in grades 7-12 should have received an email from the school district with a link to a mandatory parent activity meeting video. This is now online and not done at orientation.
Parents need to watch with your student and sign off. The deadline to complete is Aug. 12.
