Centennial Public Schools started their 2012-2013 school year on Wednesday, August 15 with a full day of classes.
Among those at the Gresham Q125 Committee pot luck supper on Sunday evening at the Gresham Community Center were Gerry and Pam George, Dean and Cindy Avery and Bob and Adelle Tonniges They enjoyed watching the Q125 parade.
The Gresham community lost a long time resident this past week Don Rieger passed away on Thursday, August 9, 2012.

The rains continue to come frequently in the area this year. Some of the precipitation in the month of July was: 19th, .88; 22nd, 1.12; 30th, 2.50.
Jenna Dey participated in a piano recital on August 15th at the home of her teacher, Mrs. Dorothea Fischer. Dave, Diane and Christa Dey, Glen and Vema Neujahr, Vernon and Margaret Dey and Clara Radford attended the recital.

Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Hinze accompanied Mr. and, Mrs. Ray From of Rising City to visit Motives in Wetaskiwin, Canada, returning home Monday evening, August 7th.
Friday evening callers in the F J. Rectner home were Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Davis of York.
Larry Scherer and Larry Schaf spent the past week vacationing in Colorado.
Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Tonniges and son Tom Tonniges of Omaha were Sunday dinner guests of Mrs. Lena Tonniges.
Clark Moore of Arroyo Grande, California is here visiting with his brother, Kenneth Moore and family and other relatives and friends.
Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Gruber and Mr. and Mrs. Melton Gruber attended the baseball picnic at Staplehurst on Sunday, August 13th.
