STROMSBURG — The Polk County Slammers dropped Tuesday's match-up to St. Paul Wildcats 7-5.

The Slammers jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the second inning, but the Wildcats responded with a 6 run third inning to take control of the game.

Junior Emma Recker went 2-for-3 with a home run and 2 RBI. Kaleena Nuttelman went 2-for-4 with an RBI. Polk County stranded nine runners on base in the the contest.

Courtney Sunday scattered 10 hits across 7 innings in the loss. She struck out 8 batters. Charlee Wegner picked up the win for the Wildcats.

The Slammers are back in action this weekend when they take on Pierce and Centura-Central Valley at the Albion Invite.
