Panthers fall to No. 7 Bison

CENTRAL CITY — It was a tough night at the office for Blue River on Thursday in a 10-2 loss to Class C No. 7 Central City.

The Panthers managed to get just three hits off of Bison ace Jerzie Schindler, who pitched four innings, striking out nine batters. Freshman Payton Burbach came on in the fifth inning, striking out two of the three batters she faced.

Autumn Lindsley and Rylie Carter each hit doubles for Blue River. Sierra Rynalds got the other Panther hit.

Lindsley pitched three innings for the Panthers, giving up 12 hits and 10 runs. She struck out one batter and walked one. Aubree Siffring pitched one scoreless inning, striking out one batter.

Blue River (11-4) is at home on Monday when they take on St. Paul (9-3) and Fillmore Central/Exeter-Milligan (9-6).
