    STROMSBURG — Cross County suffered its first loss of the season on Saturday, going 3-1 on the day to finish as runner-up at the Cougar Invite.

    In the first round, Class C-2 No. 7 Cross County took on Nebraska Lutheran and won 25-18, 25-14. High Plains defeated East Butler 25-20, 29-31, 26-24.
